TODAY
• Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $8. No reservations are necessary. • Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell takeout cavatelli dinners with homemade sauce from 2:30 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Meal also includes two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and dessert for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball will be available at a cost $5. Pasta fagioli will be sold for $6 a quart and pasta sauce for $5 a quart. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.
THURSDAY
• Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, Poland, will serve homemade dinners to go. Starting at 3:30 until the drive-through runs out, meals of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will sell for $6. Drive to the front of the church and someone will hand you a dinner to go. There’s no need to pre-order or get out of the car.
• Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out for $8 each. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie.
FRIDAY
• Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Phone orders may be made from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 8 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up starting at noon.
• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
• St. Nicholas School, 762 5th St., will host a chicken Parmesan dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the school’s great hall. Meals will include pasta, salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Cost is $10 for chicken Parmesan dinner and $7 for a pasta dinner only. Takeout is available. Proceeds will benefit the school’s seventh- and eighth- grade class trip to Chicago.
• St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.
• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.
SATURDAY
• Aut Mori Grotto Hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will host a benefit spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. The event will feature a full meal, basket raffle and information about the work of Fostering Dreams Inc. • First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will be selling 15-inch made pepperoni rolls for $8, chicken noodle and vegetable beef soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, $2 large loaves and $1.50 small loaves of bread and sticky buns 4 for $2.50 on April 16.
