NEWTON FALLS

ONE Health Ohio has opened its Falls Family Care, a health care facility that offers family-practice medical and dental services to adults and children.

Falls Family Care, 175 E. Broad St., accepts all patients regardless of income or insurance status.

The ribbon-cutting was Wednesday, and Falls Family Care, ONE Health Ohio’s sixth site, began accepting patients Thursday.

This new venture signifies an important step in growth for ONE Health Ohio as it celebrates its 30th year in business in 2016. The facility will serve as a means for Newton Falls residents to receive quality, innovative and affordable health care services in their hometown, said Dr. Ronald Dwinnells, ONE Health Ohio’s chief executive officer.

“With a first-year budget of $1.2 million, we anticipate serving over 11,000 patient visits in the course of a year through our medical, dental, pharmaceutical and behavioral-health programs. When fully functional, at least 15 new professionals, clinical and clerical support staff will operate the facility,” Dr. Dwinnells said.

The 7,000-square-foot health center has six medical-exam rooms, five dental-treatment rooms, two clinical-counseling offices, an on-site lab, innovative dental-operatory equipment and medical-diagnostic equipment that communicates directly with the electronic health-records system, said Dr. Dwinnells.

Operating hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 330-872-2010.

ONE Health Ohio is a federally qualified health center that has provided medical, dental and behavioral-health services for 30 years. FQHCs must serve an underserved area or population, offer a sliding fee scale, provide comprehensive services, have an ongoing quality-assurance program and have a governing board of directors.

ONE Health’s six facilities are in Youngstown, Warren, Newton Falls and Alliance.
