More food taken from Hilton Avenue home

YOUNGSTOWN

Police say for the third time within a week someone has stolen food from a home in the 200 block of Hilton Avenue.

Police were called to the home about 4:35 p.m. Monday, where the homeowner told them he found the knob on the back door tampered with and the cabinets ransacked. Taken was $100 worth of groceries, reports said.

On Friday, reports said officers were at the home and found food taken. Some of that food was found in a nearby vacant home.

On Thursday, someone kicked in a back door and took food, wine and toilet paper and left a half eaten meal behind, reports said.
