Investigation continues into weekend fatal shooting
YOUNGSTOWN — Police say Michael J. Pete, 30, was fatally shot at a house party on East Evergreen Avenue, but the man suspected of killing him has not yet been charged.
Police are still investigating what happened, and will meet with city prosecutors later today to determine charges, said Detective Sgt. John Perdue.
Jermaine Bunn, 38, the suspect, is in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and is being treated for a gunshot wound to his face.
Pete was found dead about 12:45 a.m. Sunday on the front porch of a house at 62 E. Evergreen Ave.
