Champion, Bazetta boil order lifted

VIENNA — The boil alert for Champion and Bazetta townships that began Saturday because of a water-main break on Mahoning Avenue in Champion has been lifted, according to the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer's Office.

The Warren Water Department repaired the break Saturday evening, but the Sanitary Engineer's Office had to conduct water sampling Sunday and wait for results from the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District before it could say for sure the water was safe to drink, said Ron Watson, senior environmental engineer for the sanitary engineer's office.
