Canfield man gets 10-year sentence for raping 14-year-old

YOUNGSTOWN — A 56-year-old Canfield man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was convicted of three counts of raping a 14-year-old girl between August 2011 and June 2012.

Visiting Judge Joseph Gibson imposed the sentence Friday on Leon Gettings of South Broad Street.

The judge had convicted Gettings of the crimes after a two-day non-jury trial Feb. 29 and March 1.
