Animal Charity seeks info on dog abuse

YOUNGSTOWN — The Animal Charity Humane Society of Ohio is calling on the public for any information related to a dog found injured from a chain around its neck.

Agents rescued the shepherd mix last Wednesday when it was wandering through the backyard of a Ravenwood Avenue home on the South Side, said Lisa Hill, the society's executive director.

The dog had a severe injury from a chain that had become partially embedded in its neck.

The dog, whom humane agents nicknamed “Spring,” is expected to recover, Hill said.

The society asks anyone with information about the dog’s abuser to call 330-788-1064 or email acohumanedepartment@gmail.com.
