Scattered outages reported in wake of 45 mph wind gusts

Winds gusting up to 45 mph were recorded Saturday afternoon and evening at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

First Energy reported scattered power outages in the Mahoning Valley.

Unofficial reports of wind gusts in the mid-40-per-hour range in several areas were received by the National Weather Service as the winds worked their way through the area, as well as mixed rain and snow in some places and thunder with snow, officials said.
