Job skills workshop planned at YWCA

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., will have a Job Skills Workshop for men and women age 18 and over in April, May and June.

The sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; April 5-21; May 3-19; or May 31-June 16.

Topics include career assessment and exploration; soft skills, such as resume writing and interviewing; maintaining a job; increasing income; and financial literacy.

There’s a $100 incentive upon completion of the entire program.

Chamber hosts ex-Green Beret

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a lecture program with Scott Mann, a former Green Beret who now teaches his leadership and personal connections approach to companies throughout the U.S., from 7:30 to 9 a.m. April 20 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman, 7410 South Ave.

Advanced registration for the event is required by April 13 by calling Amy Young at 330-744-2131, ext. 12, or emailing amy@regionalchamber.com. The cost is $20 for chamber members and $30 for nonmembers.

Mann will teach leaders how to approach complex and challenging situations with a mission-focused strategy. He will share a method of tackling life’s toughest problems by making deep personal connections and leading from the heart in order to build strong, resilient teams.

Local therapy clinic gets new website

Integrated Physical Therapy Services Inc., a physical therapy provider with clinics at 650 Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles and 700 W. Liberty St. in Hubbard, recently unveiled a newly designed website at integratedptservices.com.

The website features a contemporary, visually appealing design and fresh, relevant content. Its purpose is to inform potential patients and referring physicians of all the various physical therapy services IPTS provides.

Learn how to finance a business

There will be a Business Financing 101 seminar at the New Castle Library, 207 E. North St., from 6 to 8 p.m. May 18. The cost is $10.

Beyond traditional lending, the course also explores bootstrapping, crowdfunding and other opportunities to potentially fund a venture.
