BOARDMAN

Boardman United Methodist Church was the setting of the Sept. 12, 2015, exchange of vows of Ashley Smith of Canfield and Michael Sheffield of Boardman. The Rev. Pamela Buzalka officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception honored the couple at Mr. Anthony’s.

Ralph and Deborah Smith of Canfield are the parents of the bride, and the parents of the groom are Charles and Mary Sheffield of Youngstown.

The bride wore a strapless ivory fit-and-flare gown adorned with Alencon lace, sequins and beads. Her ensemble was completed with a chapel length train and a fingertip beaded veil.

The bride’s sister, Jenna Fantone, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Becca Montgomery, Sara Ford, Ashley McNear and Claudia Kovach. The attendants wore cranberry-colored gowns.

Eric Sheffield, the groom’s brother, was best man. Groomsmen were Bob Liberatore, Ron Kollar, Mat Gessler and Sam Buzzacco.

Mrs. Sheffield received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University. She works as a human resource representative for Ohio Edison.

Her husband received an associate degree in technical studies from YSU and works as a line troubleshooter for Ohio Edison.

The couple reside in Boardman after a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos islands.
