Power outage hits Girard, McDonald

GIRARD — A power outage has hit over 2,000 FirstEnergy customers in Trumbull County.

About 1,200 Girard customers and 1,400 McDonald customers are without power, FirstEnergy spokesman Chris Eck said.

The cause of the outage is still under investigation. Crews are currently working to restore power, according to the FirstEnergy web site. Estimated restoration time is 4:30 p.m., the web site states.
