GIRARD

A city woman has a pretrial hearing today in Girard Municipal Court on misdemeanor charges of prostitution and endangering children.

Lori Parker, 38, pleaded not guilty to those charges Monday at her arraignment.

According to police, officers took Parker into custody at Trumbull County Jail on Friday after she purportedly offered sex for money in a text message to an undercover police officer.

The officer contacted Parker after receiving a complaint about her soliciting sex over Craigslist, according to a police report.

The officer arrived at the woman’s North Davis Street apartment to place her under arrest and found deplorable conditions, including an insect infestation and no fresh food or diapers for Davis’ 1-year-old child. She also has a 6-year-old child who was at school when the officer arrived.

Police contacted county children’s services about the situation.
