The First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, sponsors a food sale to raise money to fund its projects. The sale is the third Saturday of the month from September through April; December’s sale is the second Saturday.

What’s available: 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $8 each, chicken noodle and vegetable soups for $5 per quart and $3 per pint, fresh-baked bread for $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 for a small loaf, and homemade sticky buns for $2.50 for four.

To order: For the Oct. 17 sale, orders should be placed by Oct. 14 by calling 330-759-1460. Pickup is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the church.
