Austintown man arrested after two chases

AUSTINTOWN

A township man that led area authorities on two chases Tuesday was arraigned this morning.

Marc S. Schadel, 29, appeared in Mahoning County Area Court here this morning on a third-degree felony charge of robbery.

His bond for that charge was set at $50,000 cash or surety bond and he will receive court appointed counsel.

Schadel was arrested Tuesday night by Austintown police after a vehicle pursuit and stop sticks were used to stop the stolen vehicle.

Schadel was wanted for two similar gas station robberies in Boardman and Austintown early Tuesday, police said.

It was unknown this morning when Schadel would appear in Mahoning County Area Court in Boardman on the charges there.
