I-80 westbound at state Route 11 closed due to crash

AUSTINTOWN — Interstate 80 westbound at state Route 11 northbound is closed due to a commercial vehicle crash.

The Ohio Department of Transportation sent out an email at 5:38 p.m. today announcing the closure at the intersection in a construction zone. That construction zone is because of the three-year $108.4 million project to widen and resurface Interstate 80 from state Route 46 to state Route 193/Belmont Avenue.

The detour is Interstate 680 to Meridian Road to Salt Springs Road and motorists are asked to avoid the details.

Officials from the Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol could not immediately provide further details tonight.
