Boardman police busy with weekend thefts

Township police handled more than 20 theft cases over the weekend, as well as multiple reported burglaries, resulting in 11 theft-related arrests.

Charged with felony theft after being accused stealing a shopper’s purse at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, Sunday is Michael Adams, 35, of Youngstown.

Charged with misdemeanor theft after purportedly shoplifting are: Paul Hill, 49, of Youngstown; Johnny Serrano, 16, of Painesville; Qunio Wilson, 20, of Youngstown; Tre’von Clay, 15, of Youngstown; Gina Bellotta, 19, of Salem; Kayla Sweitzer, 26, of Southern Boulevard; Johnna Donnelly, 44, of New Castle; and Franklin Fox, 13, of Youngstown.

Township police also arrested two suspects with active theft warrants over the weekend. Those individuals are: Dominic Ditosto III, 40, of Youngstown, who was discovered to have a failure to appear warrant, with an original charge of theft, out of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office; and Joseph Darby, 25, of Southern Boulevard, who was discovered to have two active theft warrants out of Boardman.

Police are investigating several other thefts reported over the weekend, including multiple instances in which items were stolen from vehicles and three cases in which vehicles were reported stolen.

Police also are investigating two burglaries reported Saturday at Salinas Trail and Meadowbrook Avenue residences.
