AUCTIONS

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a basket auction Sunday. Doors open at 2 p.m., and the drawing is at 4. The cost is $5. Only 150 to 200 tickets will be sold. This Means War Against Breast Cancer is hosting a basket auction to help a breast cancer survivor with three young daughters to pay her medical bills. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at Southington Chalker High School, 2482 state Route 534. Admission is free, and auction tickets will be two for $1 or 60 for $25. BINGO/CARD PARTIES

Girard Eagles Auxiliary 2172 will have a card party Sunday at the hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave. Doors open at noon, a sack lunch of chicken salad sandwich, potato chips and a cupcake will be served until 1 p.m., and bingo will start at 1:30. The cost is $5. There will be extra games paying 50-50, and a coverall that will pay 75 percent. There also will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.

St. Patrick Altar Guild will host a bingo/card party and salad buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in the church social hall, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $5 per person at the door. There is a handicap accessible ramp and elevator on the south side of the church, as well as a secured parking lot.

Trumbull County Federated Democratic Women’s Club will sponsor its annual card party from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. NE, Warren. In addition to card games, the event will feature table prizes, door prizes, a basket raffle, 50-50 drawing and a salad and dessert buffet. CRAFT SHOWS

Boardman Shepherd of the Valley, 7248 West Blvd., will host a craft show in its dining room from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6. Vendors are needed; tables can be reserved for $20. FESTIVALS

Friends of Beaver Creek State Park will host Pioneer Craft Days on Saturday and Sunday in the Pioneer Village of Beaver Creek State Park. Crafts such as basket making, candle dipping, quilting, dulcimer building and woodworking will be displayed. Antique farm equipment displays will also be offered. The Friends will provide food for the festival. Space is available for crafters (all items must be at least 80 percent hand crafted) and antique vendors (only authentic antiques permitted). RAFFLES

United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley has partnered with the NFL Alumni for a 2016 Super Bowl Raffle. The winner will receive a trip for two to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 7, 2016, or a $5,000 cash prize. Second prize will be $1,000 and third, $500. Tickets are $100 each and only 250 will be sold. The winner will be drawn Dec. 2 at the Lake Club in Poland. Winners do not need to be present. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. New for fall (green tickets not included) is a large amount of Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle items for young men. September clearance is $1 each item. Paw Platoon Dog Rescue will sponsor Tattoos for Rescues from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday at State Street Tattoo, 405 E. State St., Salem, with proceeds benefiting the rescue.

Pumpkins for Pups is a fund-raiser to pay for veterinary care for dogs at Trumbull County Dog Pound. Pumpkins, cornstalks and other fall items will be sold from Oct. 5 to 17 at the pound, 7501 Anderson Ave., Howland Township; hours are from 9:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. It’s sponsored by volunteers at the dog pound.

St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church Philoptochos Society is hosting a Viayia’s Trash ’n Treasure Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman.
