Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland is speaker at Mahoning Trumbull AFL-CIO's dinner Thursday

NILES — The Mahoning Trumbull AFL-CIO’s sixth annual dinner begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at McMenamy’s Banquet Center, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road.

Speakers are Ted Strickland, former Democratic Ohio governor who is running for U.S. Senate, and Ed Schultz, national journalist and talk-show host. U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Howland, D-13th, is also scheduled to appear. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $40. For information, call 330-727-5758.
