Brawlers knocked out before they start

The Mahoning Valley Brawlers will not be part of the Fall Experimental Football League. The FXFL announced today that the franchise was folding.

The Brawlers and Mahoning Valley Scrappers had announced in July that the team would be part of the four-team FXFL and would play three games at Eastwood Field beginning Saturday, Oct. 3.

Jordan Taylor, vice president of HWS Baseball and the Scrappers' general manager, released a statement this morning confirming the franchise has folded and expressing regret.
