Youngstown police arrest 18-year-old on weapons charge

Police arrested Bruce Clinkscale, 18, of the South Side on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon Saturday afternoon.

Clinkscale was arrested at about 2:52 p.m. after officers initially responded to a domestic dispute between a mother and her adult son at East Dewey Avenue. She reported to police that her son threatened her with a handgun. While officers questioned her, she pointed out Clinkscale, who was passing by the home with another man.

Police followed the males and stopped the two at a parking lot in the 2000 block of South Avenue.

Police found a handgun on Clinkscale who was then transported to Mahoning County jail.
