Alexis Miller led the Blue Devils (8-5) with 15 kills, two digs and four points. Lainie Grope made 13 kils while Alexis Hughes contributed seven kills, six digs and seven points. For the Blue Devils (7-8), Harper made kills, MacKenzie Daub made seven kills and five blocks, and Taylor Oliver made seven kills and five blocks. JV: Crestview, 25-19, 25-15.

For the Bulldogs (4-10), Brysten Trosky made five kills and seven digs while Jessica Leake made six kills. Marlaina Frye contributed eight points with two aces and seven assists. JV: Southern won.

For the Warriors (6-9), Bailey Drapola made 13 killes and three blocks while Kenzie Drapola made nine kills, seven digs and 20 points with four aces. Cailee Evans made nine digs and Katie Bender had 23 assists.

ANDOVER

Bailey Drapola and Tori Sheehan each made six kills for the Warriors. Sheehan scored nine points with four aces. Drapola and Evans each made five digs while Olivia Vogel made two blocks. Kenzie Drapola scored seven points.

TJ Gaydosh led the Rams with three goals while Bryce Porter, Trey Richards and Danny Linebaugh each scored two. Braedynn Porter had the other goal. Earning assists were Parker Hake, Presley Bowser, Richards, Linebaugh, Braedynn Porter and Gaydosh. Ian Sewell scored the Campbell goal.

CANTON

Canfield senior Chase Kern won the Division I boys race in the 47th annual race at Malone University with a career-best time of 15:46.9, easily besting runner-up Noah Chaplik of Louisville (16:21.6). In the girls Division III race, United junior Brynn Hofmeister placed third and teammate Jaycie Watt placed seventh. No other area runners finished in the top 10 in any varsity race.

Jean Ann Smith Invitational

LORDSTOWN

LaBrae’s John Walker and Zach Meyer finished 3-4 to lead the Vikings to the team title, besting Mineral Ridge 23-37. Ridge’s Cameron Palmer finished first in 17:23.0, while Bristol’s Zack Howard was second in 17:25.3. In the girls race, Hannah-Abigail Toth of Mineral Ridge placed third and teammate Tatum Flesh was fourth to help the Rams win the team title over Western Reserve, 32-53. Reserve’s Ashley Rowley was first (20:29.6) and Jackson-Milton’s Michaelina Terrananya was second (20:41.2).
