Learn to take nature photographs

SALEM

“Go Wild in the Park: Nature Photography” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Centennial Park.

The program is planned by Salem Public Library and will offer a demonstration by Kirk Poffenberger of Design Studio on how to take nature photos.

After the class, participants are encouraged to take photos at Salem’s parks and submit them to Salem Parks Department for display.

Attendance is open to all; the session is free.

Ministries plans calendar tea

YOUNGSTOWN

Christ Dwelling Place Ministries will sponsor a calendar tea on the theme “365 Days of Praise” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Dominic Church social hall, 77 E. Lucius Ave.

Speaker will be Bishop Ernest Hawkins of Apostolic Faith Temple.

Jr. League quarter auction set for Sat.

YOUNGSTOWN

The Junior League of Youngstown will have a quarter auction fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road.

Participants can place bids in quarter increments on restaurant gift cards, housewares, sports memorabilia and jewelry.

There also will be 50-50 and gift bag raffles.

All proceeds will benefit the Junior League.

Guests can take their own food and beverages; alcohol is permitted. Dessert will be provided.
