Ewanish 55th marked by blessing, lunch

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ewanish of Youngstown celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30 with a blessing of their marriage vows by the Rev. John Harvey, their pastor at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church followed by a luncheon. It was hosted by their son, John J. Ewanish.

A son, Joseph J. Ewanish, is deceased.

The former Betty Maletsky and Mr. Ewanish were were married Sept. 3, 1960, at Sts. Peter and Paul, where they are members. He has been president of the church for 18 years, and she is a trustee on the church board.

Mr. Ewanish retired from LTV Steel. His wife retired as a teacher’s aide from Youngstown Board of Education.
