Deltas welcome Soledad O’Brien

Youngstown Alumnae and Collegiate members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. welcomed their sister, Soledad O’Brien, former CNN news correspondent, to the Centofanti Symposium lecture series Sept. 16 at Stambaugh Auditorium Concert Hall.

O’Brien also is an executive producer and philanthropist and the author of four books including “The Next Big Story.” She was given a gift in appreciation of her outstanding news coverage and program specials.

The Arts and Letters Committee of the sorority will host a book review of this novel at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Newport Library, 3730 Market St. It is free, will be open to the public and will be facilitated by Selina Cotton, East High School AP English teacher. The sorority purchased copies of the book for interested students at East and Chaney high schools and Youngstown Early College. The books also are available at the Youngstown State University Bookstore, Barnes and Noble and the local library.
