Davises celebrate 60th anniversary with gathering

YOUNGSTOWN

The children of Billy L. and Barbara Joan Davis of Youngstown are announcing the 60th wedding anniversary of their parents, which was celebrated Sept. 25 with the family at home.

Their children are Lesa (Thom) Willard and Melia (Eric) McKean, all of Dothan, Ala., and Bill (Loretta) Davis of Youngstown. Five grandchildren complete the family.

The former Barbara Joan Smith and Mr. Davis were married Sept. 25, 1955, at Mount Hebron Church in Volga, W. Va.

The couple are members of Gibson Heights Second Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Davis retired as an instructor for Boardman Beauty Academy and is a member of numerous bowling teams. She also is a member of the church choir and is a deaconess and member of the Ladies Guild of the church.

Mr. Davis is a U.S. Air Force veteran and is a retired electrician for Youngstown General Electric and Warren Consolidated. He serves as a church elder, and enjoys hunting and fishing and is a 50-year member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club. He also is a member of the Scottish Rite and is a 32nd Degree Mason at Argus Lodge 545.
