Man arrested

BOARDMAN

Township police arrested a Youngstown man Thursday who was wanted after pleading guilty to being a gang member. Kyree Grabe, 21, of Trussit Avenue, is in the Mahoning County jail. He was arrested after leading police on a foot chase after a traffic stop at Hudson and Judson avenues. He is charged with obstructing official business and possession of drugs in that incident.

Police also discovered that he had active warrants out of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated riot and participating in a criminal gang. He was wanted after reportedly skipping a sentencing hearing in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for that case earlier this month. Grabe previously pleaded guilty to being a member of the E Block Street Gang, which operated around the Evanston Avenue area on the lower West side. He has another open case in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court as well.
