Pa. AG: License suspension may prevent ’16 run for re-election

HARRISBURG, Pa.

Pennsylvania’s attorney general says she doesn’t think she’ll be eligible to run for a second term next year if her law license remains suspended.

Attorney General Kathleen Kane told The Associated Press on Thursday she’s making plans to seek re-election in hopes her suspension is lifted by the April primary.

Kane says she’s confident she can raise enough money but doesn’t expect to pour her own cash into the race, as she did three years ago.

The high court Monday placed her on temporary suspension as she fights criminal allegations she leaked secret grand jury information and then lied about it.
