The Ohio treasurer says more than 100 local governments have put their spending information online through a treasurer’s office website.

Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel says the information includes more than 6 million checks involving more than $14 billion in spending.

Mandel said Thursday the 114 municipalities include cities, counties, school districts and libraries across the state.

Mandel’s OhioCheckbook.com offers a Google-style search of state expenditure records.

The treasurer said he hopes that all of Ohio’s nearly 4,000 local governments eventually will put their spending online.
