The Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown is announcing the winners of its Horticultural Show which took place Aug. 22.
In the youth division the following were winners:
Katelynne McHugh, vegetables: cherry tomatoes and potted plants: nicotiana (tobacco)
Kevin McHugh, vegetables: tricolor sage and annuals: zinnia
Tiffany Voland, Best of Show for bulbs, tubers: gladiolus ‘Red Blaze’
In the sweepstakes category Katelynne McHugh had 15 points, Kevin McHugh had 14 points, and Keith McHugh and Tiffany Voland each had 6 points.
In the adult division the winners were:
Robert Voland, six vegetables
Cindy Salerno, ornamentals: Helianthus Sunflower ‘Autumn Beauty’; perennials: ornamental grass ‘Spiralis Corkscrew Rush’; potted plants: mini serissa rose cherry blossom tree; and annuals: Best of Show for cosmos ‘Chocolate’
Terry Voland, fruits: plums NY9
Rodney Toth, dahlias: ‘Vassio Meggos’; and bulbs, tubers: gladiolus ‘Lady Lucille’
John Salerno, succulents: kalanchoe luciae ‘Flap Jack’

Sweepstakes awards were given to Cindy Salerno, 34 points; Rodney Toth, 18 points; and Don Brown, 15 points and heaviest tomato.
