Rock act Halestorm is taking quite a walk on the wild side.

The quartet – Lzzy Hale (vocals, guitar), Joe Hottinger (lead guitar), Josh Smith (bass) and Arejay Hale (drums) – recently released its third studio effort, “Into the Wild Life.” The group watched the new record, which is a follow-up to 2012’s “The Strange Case Of ...,” receive its highest chart placement to date. The album also yielded No. 1 rock-radio hits “Apocalyptic” and “Amen.”

Now the “Freak Like Me” outfit is touring with a Tuesday show booked at Packard Music Hall in Warren.

Here are 10 things you might not know about Halestorm:

Arejay Hale and Elizabeth “Lzzy” Hale got their start in the late ’90s when the siblings began writing and performing original music.

Based off hit songs “I Get Off” and “It’s Not You,” Halestorm’s 2009 self-titled debut went gold.

The band also won a 2013 Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Grammy Award for “Love Bites [So Do I].”

Not only did Lzzy collaborate with “America’s Got Talent” star Lindsey Stirling on the EDM track “Shatter Me,” but she performed with country artist Eric Church at the CMT Awards.

Lzzy was honored by Gibson Guitars with a Lzzy Hale signature explorer guitar.

On the group’s 2011 EP “Reanimate: The Covers,” Halestorm covered Temple of the Dog (“Hunger Strike”), Guns N’ Roses (“Out Ta Get Me”) and Lady Gaga (“Bad Romance”).

Halestorm’s “Here’s to Us” appeared on “Glee,” with the vocalists singing non-offensive lyrics. The studio version of the track features a guest appearance by Wolfgang Van Halen.

“Into the Wild Life” was inspired by Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin.

A check of recent set lists reveal Halestorm has been interchanging covers by the Beatles (“Come Together”) and Fleetwood Mac (“Gold Dust Woman”).

Earlier this year, Halestorm released a photo book, “To Hale and Back,” pictured at right, which documents the group’s career.
