BREAKING NEWS | Mahoning County financial data launched on ohiocheckbook.com

COLUMBUS — Mahoning County today became the first Ohio county to release its expenditures on the the state treasurer's ohiocheckbook.com

Making the announcement with Treasurer Josh Mandel were county Auditor Ralph T. Meacham and Commissioner Anthony Traficanti.

Ohiocheckbook.com is a first-of-its-kind government transparency website that shows taxpayers exactly how their tax money is being spent.

"I am excited to be on the forefront of the government transparency initiative started by Treasurer Mandel," Meacham said in a news release.
