Two local execs set to rappel for benefit

YOUNGSTOWN

Gary Soukenik, president and CEO of Seven Seventeen Credit Union, challenged Mark Witmer, chief banking officer of Farmers National Bank, to grab a rope and climb down the 18-story Metropolitan building Saturday to raise money for Beatitude House.

Each donated $1,000 to Beatitude House to participate in the event, Over the Edge, and both companies will donate $1 for every “like” they receive on their respective Facebook videos, with a maximum donation of $500.

The Facebook campaign is underway. The men will post a GoPro video on Facebook when the descent is over.
