The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a celebratory ribbon-cutting at Branch Street Coffee Roasters, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road, at 10 a.m. Friday. Branch Street Coffee Roasters is a full-service coffee shop that roasts coffee from all over the world in the store.

Merger approved

CANFIELD

Farmers National Banc Corp., the holding company for The Farmers National Bank of Canfield, and East Liverpool-based Tri-State 1st Banc Inc., the holding company for 1st National Community Bank, on Tuesday announced the shareholders of Tri-State approved ther merger of Tri-State with and into FMNB Merger Subsidiary LLC, a newly formed, wholly owned subsidiary of Farmers.

State collections

Ohio Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor announced Tuesday that the insurance agent tax-lien program has, as of September 2015, collected or set up payment plans with agents for amounts totaling $15,149,631 in unpaid income tax, sales tax and Workers’ Compensation premium payments.

Taylor introduced the program in May 2011 to recover funds that belong to the state and its citizens.

The program is a partnership of the Ohio Department of Insurance, Ohio Department of Taxation and Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Ohio sues company

TOLEDO

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has sued the operators of a home- improvement company accused of failing to deliver promised services to consumers across the state.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court, accuses John Lee Chapman and Trena White, both doing business as Home Investment Time Inc., of violating Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act and Home Solicitation Sales Act.

At least 10 consumers from Mahoning, Lorain, Montgomery, Erie and Lucas counties have filed complaints alleging losses totaling more than $14,000, but investigators believe additional consumers may be affected.
