Prelim hearing reset for Campbell mayoral candidate charged with assault

CAMPBELL — The preliminary hearing for Campbell mayoral candidate Nicholas Phillips, 51, of Campbell has been set to Oct. 6 in Campbell Municipal Court.

The hearing had been set for today.

Phillips is charged with felonious assault. The 22-year old boyfriend of Phillips' wife's daughter told police that Phillips had punched him in the face on Aug. 5, breaking his jaw, according to a police report.
