Book discussions and children's events set


LEETONIA

Book discussion groups are set to meet at the Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St. The library’s nonfiction group will discuss “The New Wild: Why Invasive Species Will Be Nature’s Salvation” by Fred Pearce at 6 p.m. Tuesday; The AM Bookends group will discuss “Purrfect Murder” by Rita Mae Brown at 10 a.m. Oct. 7; and Classics will discuss “The Inferno” by Dante Alighieri at 6 p.m. Oct. 29.

Copies of the books are available at the library, call 330-427-6635. The public is welcome.

The library also will host events for young children each Wednesday. Children will interact through songs, toys, story time and a snack during Toddler Playgroup at 10 a.m.

Preschool discovery time follows at 11:15. Story times, songs and crafts will emphasize skills that the children will use in school. No registration is necessary.
