Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God and senior spinning at 9, piloxing, bingo, painting class, beginner computer class and quilting at 10, lunch and advanced computer class at noon; Tuesday, active exercise and pilates at 8 a.m., video class: thermodynamics at 9, S.O.S. at 9:30, bingo, quilting and crocheting at 10, line dancing at 10:30, chair yoga at 11:30 and lunch and Windows 10 class at noon; Wednesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God and blood pressure checks at 9, intermediate computer class, bingo, quilting and BP Express (E) at 10, senior spinning at 10:30, yoga at 11, advanced computer class at 11:30, $3 pizza party at noon and TOPS at 1 p.m.; Thursday, active exercise at 8 a.m., video class: inventions that changed the world at 8:50, vets helping vets and wood carving at 9, S.O.S. at 9:30, chair yoga, quilting and crocheting at 10, knitting at 11 and lunch, bingo and monthly birthday party at noon; and Friday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God, video class: Skeptics American History and senior spinning S at 9, senior spinning E at 9:30, bingo and quilting at 10, Drums Alive at 10:15 and Out to Lunch Bunch to Selah in Struthers at 1:30 p.m. For information call 330-953-1416 or visit www.austintownseniorcenter.webs.com.

Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference day projects. The next meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 North River Road, Warren. Reservations are necessary for the dinner at 5 p.m., which costs $6.50 per person. Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will host a Gathering Place event at 11 a.m. Oct. 12. Fox Funeral Home will discuss “Pre-needs and Funeral Planning,” and a light lunch will be provided by the Woodlands at Hampton Woods. This is a free community outreach social program offered to all senior citizens, which takes place on the second Monday of each month. Games and activities are offered. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., 330-544-3676, has planned the following on Tuesday: A casino trip to Mountaineer will cost $22 with $25 in slots; bus pickup in Niles will be at 8 a.m. and return approximately 4:30 p.m. Payment is required with reservation.
