Polish Day set for next Sunday

NEW CASTLE, PA.
The 25th annual Lawrence County Polish Day will take place next Sunday at Cascade Park Pavilion, 1928 E. Washington St. Entertainment will be provided by Lenny Gomulka and Chicago, and Tony Blazonczyk’s New Phaze. Vendors will sell Polish pottery from Boleslawiec, wooden and glass eggs, Christmas ornaments, Polish sweets, seasonings, canned goods.
Donations will be accepted for Jutrzenka, an orphanage in Bardo to which thousands of pounds of toiletries, school supplies, clothing, personal-hygiene items and cash have been shipped.
Polish food prepared by Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church will be served starting at noon. Dancing begins at 1.
Cost is $12 for adults, free for kids 16 and under. Proceeds benefit the Polish Americans of Lawrence County Educational Scholarship Fund. To date, close to $60,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
