Miss Shagrin, Mr. Friedman are engaged

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF.

Karen and Steven Shagrin of Walnut Creek, Calif., formerly of Liberty, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Allison Shagrin, and Brett Friedman, both of Dublin, Calif.

The parents of the future groom are Debra Friedman of Mission Viego, Calif. and Orrin Friedman of Lake Forest, Calif.

Plans are being made for a Feb. 14, 2016, wedding at 4:30 p.m. at Wedgewood at the San Ramon Golf Club in San Ramon, Calif., where a reception will follow. Invitations will be issued for both events.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Chapman University and the University of Southern California. She earned a master’s degree in communication management. She is employed as a clinical coordinator for Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, Calif.

Mr. Freidman is a graduate of the University of California Irvine and the University of California Los Angeles graduate school. He earned a doctorate in physics. He is a design physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif.
