Sarah Patchell and Matthew Ramsbottom exchanged vows at Old St. Patrick’s Church, where the Rev. Tom Hurley officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the River Roast.

The parents of the bride are Don and Mary Patchell of Deerfield, Ill., and the parents of the groom are Bob and Mary Ramsbottom of Poland.

After a wedding trip to Thailand, the couple reside in Chicago.

The bride wore a white and ivory gown with lace flowers on the bodice embellished with hand-sewn beads and sequins. It was completed with a silk chiffon hand-pleated skirt.

The bride’s sister, Mary Patchell, was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Maggie Schuster, the groom’s sister; and Victoria Leonard, Kathleen Traines, Jenna Moran, Ashley Bossart and Jessica Stevens. The attendants wore magenta-colored dresses.

Brad and Mark Ramsbottom, brothers of the groom, shared the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Williams, Kevin Lane, James Kozlow, Richard Rames and Michael Gett.

Lucas Schuster, the groom’s nephew, was the ring bearer.

Leo Larson served as an usher.

Mrs. Ramsbottom graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in marketing. She works as a senior analyst for Alvarez and Marsal in Chicago.

Her husband also graduated from Miami University with a degree in finance. He is employed as a senior financial analyst for Centro in Chicago.
