YOUNGSTOWN

The deadline to register for the YWCA of Youngstown’s eighth annual Women’s Leadership Conference is Monday. The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. next Friday at 25 W. Rayen Ave.

The keynote speaker will be Judge Cheryl L. Waite of the 7th District Court of Appeals. Other speakers include Jim Cossler of the Youngstown Business Incubator; Natalie Lariccia of Jones Wealth Management; Arisha Williams of Prosperity Staffing Solutions; and Gina Pastella of VEC Ohio. Major sponsors are Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Bank of America Corp. and Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, CPAs.

3 businesses get safety grants

WARREN

Three businesses in Trumbull County have received Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation safety grants.

Respiratory Care Partners, 2524 N. River Road NE in Warren, received an Ohio BWC safety-intervention grant in August when more than $1.5 million in safety grants were awarded to businesses in counties throughout Ohio. Respiratory Care Partners received $24,898 to purchase one stair climber and four lift gates.

Gillette Nursing Home Inc., 3310 Elm Road NE in Warren, received $32,270 to purchase eight patient lift beds, four patient lifts with scales and three patient standing scales.

J&J Lawn and Landscaping of Girard received $28,869 to purchase two automated landscape rakes, one automated soil conditioner and one automated straw blower.
