Austintown police probe restaurant break-ins

AUSTINTOWN — Township police are investigating break-ins discovered Thursday morning at two restaurants.

Police officers reportedly observed a front window had been smashed out at Main Moon on South Raccoon Road early Thursday. A jar for donations was reported missing from the business.

About the same time police observed the broken window there, an alarm reportedly sounded at Hana Japaense Sushi on Mahoning Avenue.

There, police reportedly found that glass doors had been broken with a rock.

Video surveillance reportedly shows a man entering the business, taking the cash drawer and fleeing.
