Cleveland airport is fined $735,000

CLEVELAND

The Federal Aviation Administration has fined Cleveland Hopkins International Airport $735,000 for creating unsafe conditions on runways during snowstorms.

The agency handed down the fine to the airport for violating an agreement stating that Hopkins would adequately staff snow removal teams and de-ice runways during storms.
