STEM discussion set Friday in Sharpsville, Pa.
SHARPSVILLE, Pa. — State Reps. Mark Longietti, D-Mercer, and Chris Sainato, D-Lawrence, will co-host a roundtable about science, technology, engineering, and math education – subjects collectively known as STEM – and career opportunities in those fields.
The roundtable will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday at Sharpsville Area Senior High School, 301 Blue Devil Way.
The event will conclude with a discussion by representatives from government, education, business, and nonprofit organizations about strategies and ideas tor encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM and for linking qualified applicants to STEM jobs in the Mercer/Lawrence area.
