SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR GFWC Ohio Warren Junior Women’s League recently gathered for a September meeting at the Hidden Cafe in Howland. Guests included Ginny Pasha of the United Way of Trumbull County, who discussed the WJWL and United Way’s partnership on a Reading 4 Fun program. It is part of the United Way’s Reading Great by 8 Literacy Initiative, designed to increase the number of Trumbull County children reading at grade level by grade three. Pasha said that about 100 second-grade students will receive a Reading 4 Fun backpack in October, filled with three books, craft materials and a snack.
