Malala Yousafzai subject of discussion

“I Am Malala,” the autobiographical book by Malala Yousafzai, will be the focus of a book discussion at 7 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Quaker Room of Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St.

Yousafzai’s autobiography explores her life and rise to notoriety following an attempt on her life Oct. 9, 2012, by Taliban gunmen in her homeland of Pakistan. She has since become an outspoken advocate for education for women and children around the world.

Access to the book is available through the library’s Adult Circulation Department. The discussion is open to the public and registration is not necessary. For information, call the library at 330-332-0042.
