Family health issue discussion Thursday at Austintown library

AUSTINTOWN — Meridian Healthcare and the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County will debut a talk series that focuses on family, health and lifestyle at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Austintown library branch at 600 S. Raccoon Road.

The first installment of the “Now You Know” series, presented by a Meridian youth and young adult counselor, will focus on the heroin epidemic.

opics will include why the drug attracts so many young people, early-warning signs and treatment options, and keys to prevention and recovery. A question-and-answer session will follow.
