YOUNGSTOWN — U.S. Marshals arrested two people in Youngstown on Monday in connection with a homicide in Columbus.

Danyell Florida, 37, and Kalene Bartlett, 22, are each charged with abuse of a corpse, according to a news release from the Columbus Police Department.

A news release from the department said both listed a home on South Champion Avenue as their address where the body of a man was found in a basement Sunday. The release did not name the man but said he appeared to have been dead for some time and he was reported missing Sept. 7.

The man’s death was ruled a homicide, the 69th of the year in Columbus, according to the release.

Florida and Bartlett are both in the Mahoning County jail pending their return to Columbus.
