AUCTIONS

Immaculate Heart of Mary Social Concerns Group will host a quarter auction Oct. 17 in the parish center at 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road, Austintown, will be the setting for a Buckeye Bonanza quarter auction Thursday, sponsored by Trumbull County members of the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer to benefit the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 6. Tickets are $5, and include a soft drink, snack, a bidding paddle and a door prize ticket. Pizza slices are $1. Over 80 prizes, gift baskets and door prizes will be offered. A football signed by Urban Meyer and an Eight-Times Champions jacket valued at $300, will be part of a raffle drawing; tickets are 26 for $5 and the winner need not be present. BINGO/CARD PARTIES

Austintown Eagles 3298 Ladies Auxiliary, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, will host a bingo and card party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Proceeds will benefit the Spinal Muscular Atrophy organization, Cure SMA. Cost is $5 and includes lunch and a door prize ticket; bingo cards are $1 each. There also will be a basket raffle.

American Legion Unit 301, 3652 Oakwood Ave., Austintown, will host a Bingo Party Plus from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 27. Doors will open at noon and admission is $5. Girard Eagles Auxiliary 2172 will have a card party Oct. 4 at the hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave., Girard. Doors open at noon, a sack lunch comprised of a chicken salad sandwich, potato chips and a cupcake will be served from noon to 1 p.m. Bingo will start at 1:30. The cost is $5. There will be extra games paying 50-50 and a coverall which will pay 75 percent. There also will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle.

Friends of the Library of Warren-Trumbull County Public Library — Liberty Branch, 415 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will host a blow-out book sale from 9:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and each Tuesday into October, weather permitting. Vendors can set up early in the large spaces, which cost $5 each. Refreshments are available.

FUNDRAISERS

Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will host a scholarship fundraiser, its annual Reverse Raffle and Dinner, on Oct. 24 at Archangel Michael Hall, 12th St. in Campbell. Tickets cost $60 per person, and the grand prize will be $1,500. The alumni association has awarded $85,000 to date in scholarships to graduating seniors and Campbell Memorial alumni pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies. SALES

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. There will be no early sales. Proceeds will benefit the church choir and its women’s group. The Cancer Relay for Life Team will serve food, including homemade soup by the quart and slices of pie. Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Austintown, will have a trash, treasure and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Chili and kraut hot dogs and homemade pies will be sold.
