Achievements
Robert Shroder’s letter announcing his retirement as head of Mercy Health, formerly Humility of Mary Health Partners, listed some of the health care system’s achievements during his tenure:
Turning a field in Boardman into the 248-bed St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Bringing new organizations into the system, including Hospice of the Valley, The Assumption Village, Humility House and Mercy Health Physicians.
Starting a school of nursing at St. Elizabeth in partnership with Mercy College of Northwest Ohio.
Increasing market share from 38 to 47 percent from 2002 to 2015 resulting in acute admissions increasing from 29,000 to a forecasted 38,000 during the same period.
Increasing net revenue from $419 million in 2002 to a forecasted $750 million in 2015.
Achieving multiple awards for clinical quality from many organizations.
