Pink Ribbon Run- Walk set for Sept. 26

Trumbull Memorial Hospital, 1353 E. Market St., will host its annual Pink Ribbon Run-Walk Sept. 26.

The one-mile 5K course will begin near the bridge at the hospital and will wind through residential areas.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the race will start at 9.

The event is to raise awareness, prevention, diagnosis and survivorship for breast cancer.

It also encourages health and fitness.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall for the one-mile and 5K, and awards will be given in the various age categories for the 5K.

The entry fee will be $15 before Friday or $18 on the day of the event.

Those who register by Friday will receive a T-shirt.

Health information, vendor displays and free health screenings will be available.
